The 2008 GMC Sierra 3500HD Dually 2WD is an attractive work truck due to its
power, price, and its optional and standard features. Whatever it is, buyers are
flocking to GMC sales lots more than ever to get their hands on the Sierra
3500HD Dually 2WD. Any load that needs hauled is easily taken care of in the GMC
Sierra 3500HD. With four rear tires on a single axle, the 2008 Sierra Dually 2WD
isstable and sure, conveying payloads from worksite to worksite. It's not easy
to find a Heavy Duty truck with a lengthy list of features, but somehow GMC has
made that happen with the Sierra Dually.
Buyers have a choice of either the Vortec 6.0L SFI V8 engine or a Duramax Turbo
Diesel 6.6L V8. Those that tow and haul loads often should opt for the Turbo
Diesel as it gets around 365 horsepower. The smaller 6.0L Vortec engine still
does a great job with 312 horsepower. Also, buyers can upgrade to a biodiesel
compatible engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode is
standard, but potential buyers can also upgrade to a tough Allison 1000 6-speed
automatic engine with overdrive. The payload tops out around 4,608-lb, and
towing is done with ease with a capacity for around 12,100-lb.
The GMC Sierra's key features range from a generous warranty to great safety
elements. The Sierra is equipped with a one-year subscription to OnStar, so
whether a driver is involved in a collision or needs to make a phone call to the
local Chinese restaurant, they'll be covered in this truck. The EZ Lift locking
tailgate secures any load and allows for easy access to the truck bed. Everyone
knows that there is nothing worse than decreased or lack of vision when backing
up; however, the Sierra 3500HD Dually takes care of that problem with an
Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist system. Extra storage is easily accessed with the
60/40 rear split seat, and GMC's 100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty can't be beat
by any other maker.
Unfortunately, estimated fuel economy is not available for the 2008 GMC Sierra
3500HD Dually 2WD; however, buyers have numerous options to make up for it. If a
heavy duty truck is needed to add to the construction companies fleet or if a
driver simply wants to be able to tow an RV, the Sierra 3500HD is the best for
the job on the market. Also, with a base MSRP of $25,515 potential buyers will
be hard-pressed to find a better deal with other manufacturer's trucks.
