2008 Ford F-150 Styleside 2WD:

The 2008 Ford F-150 Styleside 2WD refers to the truck bed design. Listed at $17,700, the 2008 Styleside version is one of the most affordable pickups on the market today. Not only that, with all the great options and trim levels available, buyers will find something they like in the 2008.

The 2008 F-150 has ten trim levels ranging from the entry level F-150 XL to Harley Davidson level, which is listed for $36,875. An alternative to the standard 4.2L V6 is the 4.6L Triton V8. The V6 produces 202 horsepower, while the V8 gets 248. However, with an 11,000-lb towing capacity, the F-150 Styleside exceeds expectations. The 3,080-lb payload is notable too.

The 2008 F-150 2WD has fuel economy ratings of 13 mpg city and 17 mpg highway. In comparison to other trucks on the market, that is simply dismal. While some truck makers are creating hybrid versions or implementing active fuel management systems, the 2008 F-150 Styleside does not.

Nevertheless, options abound with the F-150. In the interior, buyers can have their choice of different upholstery fabrics - including leather - power seats, windows, and locks, even GPS mounted into the dashboard. If leather is your bag, the steering wheel can be wrapped in it. However, the best package to add is the 60th Anniversary Edition level. It completely changes the look of the F-150 for the better. The anniversary package includes a custom two-toned paint job, 20" aluminum wheels, and a wealth of chrome accents.

Though the 2008 Ford F-150 Styleside 2WD is incredibly affordable, it simply does not meet the standards of today's trucks. It lacks power, performance, and fuel economy. Nevertheless, there are trim packages that will give the truck an extra kick, but it will add an additional fee that may put the price over the top. If a buyer is looking for a truck that has exceptional features, he needs to look elsewhere because the F-150 doesn't have them.
