The 2007 Ford Expedition starts at $29,995 for the XLT and moves through the EL
XLT ($34,475), Eddie Bauer ($36,395), Eddie Bauer EL ($39,045), Limited
($37,845), and Limited EL ($40,495).
The Expedition is powered by a 5.4 liter V8 with 300 horsepower. Estimated gas
mileage for the six-speed automatic (with overdrive) is 14 mpg city and 20
highway. The Expedition is capable of handling a trailer of as much as 6,000
lbs., a figure that can climb to 9,200 when the vehicle has been equipped with
the optional package for heavier towing loads.
Posterior to the first row of seating volume in the nine-seat Expeditions ranges
from 108.3 to 130.8 cubic feet. On the XLT and EL XLT captain's chars in the
front are covered in cloth with leather standard in the Eddie Bauer and Eddie
Bauer EL. The Limited and Limited EL have perforated leather trimmed captain's
chairs that are both heated and cooled.
A combo audio unit with the ability for MP3 playback includes a jack for
auxiliary input and plays across six speakers in the XLT and EL XLT. The
remaining models carrying a six-speaker AM/FM Audiophile system with a changer
in the dash capable of handling six discs. The Eddie Bauer and Limited models
have optional navigation based on DVDs and SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available
across the line.
All models of the 2007 Ford Expedition have systems to control the vehicle in
the event of a potential roll over. Both the driver and front occupant are
covered by a two-stage air bag array with sensors to read the severity of an
impact. The beams in the doors guard against intrusions into the cabin from the
side and all-wheel disc brakes with anti-locking technology are standard. |
