The 2007 Ford Crown Victoria carries an MSRP of $25,445; $28,440 for the LX
model. With seating for six occupants, these luxury sedans have measurable
passenger volume of 106.4 cubic with and 20.6 for luggage. Both the basic model
and the LX are powered by a 4.6 liter V8 generating 224 horsepower that delivers
17 mpg city and 26 highway. The LX, with a package targeted specifically at
performance handling jumps to 239 horsepower with the same fuel economy
performance. A four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on
all models.
Standard seating on the Crown Victoria is a bench for three passengers
upholstered in cloth. The driver benefits from eight-level adjustment via power
controls. (Leather is available on the LX as are individual seats.) A standard
audio combo includes a casette option. Personal safety in the vehicle is assured
by retractors that manage belt energy as well as sensors to monitor the severity
of a crash, the positions of the seats, and the deployment of the dual-level
airbags. Bags in the side position are optional on the LX.
The 2007 Ford Crown Victorias are equipped with all-wheel brakes that include
anti-lock technology and also employ the SecuriLock system to thwart theft and
