The 2008 Chrysler Aspen is a SUV that owners are giving great reviews to. This
4-door, fun-driving sporty vehicle comes in two trims, both offering the
reliable power of a 4.7L 303hp V8 engine that yields 330 lb-ft of ready torque.
One of the most stand-out features is that its average price tag is $12,000 less
than those of every other vehicle in its class. It also smashes the competition
when it comes to towing, offering the ability to pull 8950 lbs as compared to
the competition's average rating of 7843.53 lbs. It does however suffer in the
cargo volume area offering only 19 cubic feet of space compared to 33.54 for its
competitors. Both trims offer seating for 8 and the passenger volume of 155.1
cubic feet outdoes the others at an averaged 132.02 cubic feet.
An AM/FM, single CD and mp3 player comes stock in both trims of this Chrysler
Aspen. There are new safety features included like the rear-view camera and a
system that constantly monitors your tire pressure. An unlimited month and mile
powertrain comes stock on both trims and the 5-speed automatic overdrive
transmission is solid and dependable. The Limited 4x2 trim has an MSRP of
$32,425 while the Limited 4x4 trim weighs in at $35,300. These are very
impressive figures for this class of vehicle and the fact that owner ratings are
super-high makes it even more appealing.
As far as comfort and convenience goes, both trims of this 2008 Chrysler come
stock with air conditioning and power everything. Driver, side and passenger
airbags are also stock in both trims as are stability control systems and ABS
braking systems. Traction control systems are not available. Sunroofs are
available by option and a factory-installed navigational system is but a
checkmark away. As for fuel mileage, the 2008 Aspen is about average offering
13.5/19 city/highway mpg for the 4x2 and 13/17.5 city/highway for the 4x4.
Leather seats are also available by option in both trims.
In both trims the front headroom ratings are at 40.80 inches and rear headroom
measures 39.30 in. Front legroom is 41.40 in. and rear legroom is 37.40 in.
Optional driver/front passenger climate controls are available. Standard
features also include cruise control, tachometer, tilt steering, leather
steering wheel, steering wheel-mounted controls, telescopic steering wheel, trip
computer and driver multi-adjustable power seats. Optional features are many and
impressive. You should definitely consider the 2008 Chrysler Aspen if you are in
the market for a new SUV. Even after adding several impressive optional
features, your price tag will still be looking up at the competition's.
