The mid-size luxury crossover SUV that has swept everyone away with its
versatility and resourcefulness is the Cadillac SRX. General Motors introduced
the SRX in 2004 and since then the vehicle has impressed all experts in America.
The SRX became such a phenomenon that it won Car and Driver's Five Best Trucks
"luxury SUV" award for three consecutive years. The SRX has also achieved
Automobile Magazine's 2004 All-Star status for Mid-size Sport Utility vehicles.
These are very prestigious awards that car manufacturers always aim to win.
The SRX is available with two different engine specifications - 4.6L Northstar
V-8 VVT (variable valve timing) engine offering 320 horsepower at 6400 rpm and
315 lb.-ft. of torque and the 3.6L V-6 VVT engine delivering 255 horsepower at
6500 rpm and 254 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines have the support of five-speed
automatic transmissions
Since its launch in 2004, the SRX has always assigned great importance to
safety. Take any edition of the SUV and you will find loads of safety features
integrated into it. Apart from all the essential airbags such as dual-stage
front airbags, front side seat-mounted airbags or roof-mounted side curtain
airbags, the car also features Panic Brake Assist, engine immobilizer,
