The Audi A6 is a mid sized luxury car that was first introduced in 1994.
Available as both a wagon (Avant) or a sedan, the first generation A6 was also
available with several different engines, including two diesel engines and most
available with Quattro, or all wheel, drive.
Audi is a German auto based maker and has been a popular brand in Europe much
longer than it has been in the United States. However, once those in the US got
a taste of the Audi, they clearly indicated their desire for more. Although
heavily focused on those who were interested in a luxury automobile, the
seemingly flawless engineering of the Audi was what really attracted most
buyers.
The A6 has long appealed to those who wanted to combine their love of flawlessly
maneuvering the highway in comfort with practical, everyday functionality and
fuel efficiency.
The vehicle received recognition in 2000 and 2001 as one of the featured
vehicles on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best List. The engine configurations
and variable transmissions were the foundation behind the sleekly styled vehicle
that had earned the accolade, once again proving that it is reliable engineering
and practical use that drives the popularity of the car.
The 2007 model is a tasteful combination of luxury and performance. Compared to
similarly priced vehicles in the same class, the A6 is relatively inexpensive
yet offers all the quality, safety and style that should be expected in a mid
sized luxury vehicle. Audi presents a uniquely styled vehicle, not too brassy,
not to shy, and the ride and performance match. There is a lot to be said for a
vehicle that is relatively economical, comfortable and yet luxurious. The Audi
A6 does not boast luxury from a distance, yet a one mile ride will reinforce the
fact that this car is expertly engineered, pleasing yet not boastful to the eye,
and won't soon disappoint. |
