The 2009 Audi TT Coupe is both attractive and packed with features. With an
aerodynamic, elegant exterior and a wealth of technological advancements, the TT
Coupe stands heads above the rest. Seating for up to four passengers gives the
2009 TT significantly more space than most of the comparables, and a choice of
two generous engines gives buyers the opportunity to purchase a TT that meets
their unique driving needs. While the luxury additions make the Audi TT well
worth the money, some might still find the sticker price a bit too much.
Under the hood, the 2009 TT can be equipped with either a 200 horsepower
turbocharged 2.0L I4 or a 250 horsepower 3.2L DOHC V6. The power is impressive,
and the fuel economy is even better. The I4 engine can reach 23 city MPG and 31
highway MPG, while the V6 gets around 18 city MPG and 24 highway MPG. The
six-speed automatic transmission is Audi's signature S tronic edition which
smooth, rapid shifting. Though this transmission is an automatic, the S tronic
gives it the feel of a manual for a sportier ride. Premium MacPherson
suspension, Servotronic power steering, and a dual circuit brake system add an
extra touch of quality not seen in most other coupes.
Inside, consumers will be pleased with the number of amenities. Alcantara
seating inserts, made of a material that feels like suede but is much more
durable, are standard on all three trim levels. Automatic climate control,
brushed aluminum trim, and power windows and locks are included on all trims
also. The standard Audi sound system rivals added packages on most other models.
Nine high-end speakers, a five-channel amplifier, and 140 watts of power make
for a superior audio experience in the 2009 TT Coupe. The higher trims feature
Bluetooth connectivity, a premium Bose sound system, and a HomeLink universal
garage door opener. This unique opener also can be synced with the owner's
lighting and security systems in his or her home.
Several packages are available to be added to the Audi TT like the Enhanced
Interior Package and the S Line Sports Package. Buyers can expect leather
seating and accents with the interior package, and the sports package adds
19-inch wheels and S line black leather seating.
Safety is a focus in the new TT Coupe as well. An Electronic Stability Program
keeps the model on its intended course in inclement weather or other adverse
conditions. The Audi TT is also made with an exceptionally rigid body shell
which will better protect passengers in the event of a collision.
Overall, the 2009 Audi TT Coupe is an eye-catching model that is both powerful
and fuel efficient - a hard combination to find. Nevertheless, the intro price
of $35,200 could be enough to turn off some buyers. Those looking for a sporty
car that doesn't lack any enhanced safety features will find that the 2009 TT is
a good pick. However, an individual that is in search of super horsepower, as is
found in the BMW M, might want to look elsewhere. |
