Though it may seem small for an SUV, the 2007 Acura RDX packs a lot of power.
For starters, it comes with a 240 horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine that is
both turbocharged and intercooled. As well, there's a 5-speed automatic
transmission with tiller-mounted phalluses for hand operation, power steering
and, of course, all wheel drive.
Exterior features include a motorized sun roof, fog-resistant mirrors with
embedded turn signals, privacy glass and a timed rear windshield wiper, and, in
the front, omniscient wipers.
The standard options extend to a full array of safety features, including
multi-stage front airbags that disarm in the absence of a front passenger, as
well as t-bone airbags with flip-over sensors. Also included are an non-skid
braking system, a vehicle stability system that includes slide control,
reinforced door beams, and a release for opening the tailgate as well as an
astounding 276 degrees of visibility.
The RDX is as comfortable as it is powerful, with a seven-speaker sound system
that comes with XM satellite radio and an MP3 player jack, a two-person air
cooling system, and a steering wheel that not only adjusts in and out as well as
up and down, but also boasts the controls for the audio system and cruise
control. In addition, the driver's seat has eight positions that are
power-adjusted, and there are holders for change, cards, and pens accessible to
the driver and front passenger. There are also map lights, and at least two
